Inaugurated, blessed by three religious leaders and displayed for the reading public of the Negros Island last August 7, 2012, Ambassador Menchu Salas officially turned-over 11,000 books of her late husband Bago-born Rafael Montinola Salas to the "Rafael M. Salas Library at the Negros Museum".

Launched last February 29, the exhibit, entitled “Saulog,” aims to highlight the unique Visayan heritage which started on a limited scale but was foreseen to be steadily growing.

The Museo Negrense De La Salle is set to open and inaugurate the JGM Textile Arts Center on March 2, 5:00pm at USLS.

The JGM Textile Arts Center is a special section of the museum that houses a permanent collection of a thousand handmade folk textiles from 53 countries.

Business: Negros Museum Presents Killing Time

The Negros Museum, in celebration of the National Arts Month, presents KILLING TIME, a video art installation curated by Clarissa Chikiamco opening on February 8, 2012, 7:00PM at the Museum Lobby.
The video art contribution to Cinemarehiyon 2012 focuses on already existing work and includes two exhibitions: Killing Time and Gilubong ang Akong Pusod sa Dagat.

Weekend Workshops at the Negros Museum proudly presents an advanced workshop on Documentation Photography with Negrense Filmmaker Jay Abello from October 7-11, 2011.

Documentation Photography Workshop is open to 23 years old and above who are serious in their craft and would like to know more how to shoot a story. Workshop fees is P3,000 per person.
